Opt-In for Free Subscription to the Cherokee Phoenix!

The Cherokee Phoenix and Cherokee Nation agreed to continue a partnership that has provided free subscriptions to the award-winning newspaper since 2022. Citizens wishing to receive the newspaper must visit the tribe’s Gadugi Portal and opt-in by Nov. 14.

The Cherokee Nation Free Phoenix for All Program began in 2022. In 2025, the program provided approximately 100,000 households with a free subscription. 

To opt-in, CN citizens need to visit gadugiportal.cheorkee.org. After logging in, click the applications tab at the top and select the Free Phoenix for All application. CN citizens 55 and older will automatically be opted into the program and do not need to submit an application. 

Deadline to opt in for a free subscription is Nov. 14. Free subscriptions are limited to one per household.
