The regular meeting of the Central Oklahoma Cherokee Alliance, a Cherokee Tribal Town serving the greater OKC area will be held in at the First American’s Museum on Sunday, June 21 st . We are partnering with the FAM to be part of the Annual Summer Solstice Celebration. Representatives from several tribes and nations will join together at the FAM for a traditional observance of the changing of the season. COCA will host demonstrations of two our culture’s traditional games; Di gah dah you s-di (Marbles) and Chunkey (yes, our tribal town has a chunkey stone!) Look for the COCA Table and bring her Cherokee Tradition of “ᎠᏂᏟᏏᏍᎬ” (Ah nit li si s gv = “Gathering”).
